Lamps in Airport Interior Design: A Blend of Function and Aesthetics
While the primary function of lamps is to provide lighting, their role in airport interior design extends beyond mere illumination. They serve as essential elements that contribute to the overall ambiance, comfort, and functionality of the space.
Here's how lamps fulfill their lighting function in airports:
· Task Lighting: Lamps are often used to provide focused illumination for specific tasks, such as reading, working on laptops, or eating. This ensures that passengers have adequate light to perform their activities comfortably.
· Ambient Lighting: Larger, overhead fixtures often create a general ambient lighting level in the airport. Lamps can be used to supplement this ambient light, providing a more intimate and welcoming atmosphere in certain areas, such as lounges or waiting areas.
